Hi! I am

Khari Roulhac

We help to create pathways to learning opportunities, mental health and career development for POC.  We cognitively engage individuals seeking enrichment, access to employment and healthier, more productive lives.

Khari, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, serves as Dean of Students and as member of the School Leadership Team at Newton North High School. Previously he served at Cristo Rey Boston High School as the Dean of Student Support. Prior to Cristo Rey Boston he spent time with College Bound Dorchester as an English Teacher, with Bunker Hill Community College as the Director of Athletics and Fitness Programs,  with MassBay Community College as the Associate Director of Athletics, Recreation and Wellness and with Cathedral High School (Boston) as the Director of Athletics.

Under his student-centered leadership, Cristo Rey Boston High School successfully maintained a 98% college acceptance rate. Students identified his office as a safe space to reflect, problem solve and receive academic support. Throughout his career he has enjoyed providing services to students while learning the intricacies of institutional policy. Roulhac has been intentional about establishing environments of teamwork and support for students. Creating a culture of goal setting, effort, and accountability in communities where he worked became his signature.

At Bunker Hill the men’s soccer team were New England champions and represented New England in the National Championship Tournament for three consecutive years. In the same time span, the men’s basketball team were New England champions once, also representing New England in the National Championship Tournament. MassBay men’s basketball team captured three (09’, 11’, 13’) New England championships in a five-year span. Those championship years also saw MassBay achieve their first national tournament appearance, the highest national tournament finish, and the highest win total in school history. In his tenure, MassBay produced over twenty-five All New England first team, second team and honorable mention selections, one NABC State Farm First-Team National All-American selection, one NABC State Farm Second-Team All-American and one NJCAA Academic All-American selection. Cathedral High School began it's athletic resurgence in the early 2000's when he took over as director of athletics.

Roulhac has been steadfast in maintaining a standard of academic excellence by putting academics first, initiating programs like Young Men of Color (YMOC) for at risk students, an Academic Success Program to support student-athletes academic performance, and the Student Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB), which provides a vehicle for the voices of the student-athlete experience. Recognized as an influencer in education and in athletics, he is a member of a number of reputable local and national organizations.  He is Co-chair of the Board of Directors at the Social Emotional Learning Alliance of Massachusetts (SEL4MA), and a Board Member at Youth Enrichment Services (YES). He served on a 25 person Remodeling Athletics Committee at the Boston Public Schools that resulted in a change of the vision of sports to include intentionally teaching social-emotional learning skills and district wide Social Emotional Learning Standards.  Roulhac earned his B.A. in History/Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1999 and his M.Ed. in Education from Fitchburg State University in 2005.
