Good Afternoon Students and Families,

A few important dates for your calendars:

1.) Friday October 23 - NNHS Community Day: A day to celebrate, build and support our diverse community. 

• Virtual Club Day Round #2 - Questions should go to Meghan Smith (smithme@newton.k12.ma.us)

• A full day of Virtual School-Wide Assembly Choices within the theme of Community. Sessions in the works include a History Department student town hall to discuss diversifying the curriculum and invited speakers facilitating a conversation about Disagreeing Respecfully and Civic Action. 

• Piloting a variety of types and style of in-person opportunities for students.

• Normal classes will NOT meet.

2.) Wednesday, October 28 - Virtual Back to School Night

• Families will have the opportunity to meet each of their students' teachers over zoom. The program will run from 6pm until 8pm. Parent/Guardians will need to access zoom using their student's zoom account so that all zoom meetings can require authentication. Parent/Guardians will receive zoom invites via their student's google calendar. More details will be released closer to the event.

• Before 10/28 you will receive a video or letter from the teacher of each of your student's classes. This video or letter will introduce the teacher to you and the framework for the course this year. We encourage you to view/read before 10/28.
